CANCELLATION OF DEI-RELATED PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
Please see the recent ALCOAST on the elimination of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) programs.
- Effective immediately, any references to Diversity & Inclusion must be purged an archived from any materials. These include, but are not limited to, websites, printed materials, training materials, presentations, videos, links, and email signatures.
- Renaming of D&I programs and activities to disguise them by using coded or imprecise language is not authorized. As such, references to “affinity groups”, “total workforce optimization”, and other such designators must be avoided.
- All D&I awards at all levels, including the NACO Three-Star Award for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, must be discontinued and all references to these awards removed from unit websites and materials.
- All removed materials should be archived, not deleted. Units should designate an archivist to accomplish this task.
- Until further notice, all social media activity for all unit accounts needs to be frozen. The only exception is for purely operational and routine content. Anything related to the Executive Orders, the President’s Agenda, or upcoming events is not permitted.
- Removal of references to D&I and subsequent updates are due to be completed by Sunday, 26 January.
