District 7 Members,

I am thrilled to announce that Flotilla 17-06 has been selected as the District 7 Flotilla of

the Year and has been submitted as a candidate for the National Flotilla of the Year award.

Flotilla 17-06 has set the standard for excellence with their top-tier training, impactful

community engagement, and outstanding operational support. Their commitment to

boating safety, environmental stewardship, and mission readiness has made a profound

impact on maritime safety and security in their area of responsibility.

Their spirit of service and dedication to supporting fellow flotillas and divisions, as well as

their outstanding contributions to Coast Guard missions, make them a truly deserving

recipient of this prestigious award.

We are: 20 thousand members serving our nation and our communities in 980 local units. As of June 30, 2025, we have contributed 50 million hours this year in support of the U.S. Coast Guard, including in the classroom, at the ramp & pier, and operating 295 vessels, 109 aircraft and 490 radio facilities

What is the mission of the Coast Guard Auxiliary?

The Coast Guard Auxiliary’s primary mission is to contribute to the safety and security of citizens, ports, waterways, and coastal regions. This involves a combination of recreational boating safety efforts, Coast Guard support, and contributing to homeland security.
